Codes and Conventions of newspaper advertisements

BBC 3 ADVERTISMENT CONVENTIONS -Pirnted advertisment is usually A4 landscape - Channel logo clearly visable using the rule of thirds -One main image to grap viewers attention, usually in colour and connects clearly or subliminally to the content of the documentary, creatiing a narrative -Programme title in a black box and pink text to make the text stand out and to carry on a traditional, recurring theme to connect all thier documentary work together uder one company -Title situated in the bottom left of the page -Slogan underneath the main heading, anchoring the meaning of the image, often a witty play on words -minimum words, dominated by imagery -Incluedes the scheduling information, so the date and time of where and when the documentray will be on
